The Waring Pro Blender MBB offers some nice basic features and appears to be a stable blender that takes care of most tasks you'll need it for. The setting controls make it very easy to use and simple to operate. However, we'd like to see a little more power in the motor (only 390 watts) at this price point ($100+). If you plan on using your blender primarily for smoothies and like them very smooth, no small ice balls, then you may want to look at something a little more powerful.

The Good

  • Good pitcher - a stable glass pitcher
  • Stable - won't move around much when blending
  • Precise Control - 2 settings and speeds make this blender easy to operate
  • Easy to Clean - good design makes for easy cleaning
  • Quiet - a smooth operating blender
  • Simple - easy to operate

The Bad

  • Not strong enough - sometimes fails to completely blend ice, leaving chunks.
  • Poor Value - priced too high for the features available

Features

The Waring Pro Blender MBB 518/520 is a tall and nostalgic looking blender that takes you back to older days. It not only looks good, but works great, is very stable, and can quickly blend all manner of ingredients. The thick glassed pitcher won't shake or wobble and comes with a 1 ounce measuring cap that can be removed while blending so that you can add additional ingredients. The lid fits securely on the top of the pitcher and won't leak. This blender is also easy to clean and dishwasher ready, with stainless steel blades attached to the base of the pitcher.
