Waring PB20CX Kitchen Classic Blender-Chrome
by Alex
Aesthetically, it is beautiful. The iconic shape and design. Not too different to when Waring Blenders first came out in the 1930s (for 30 dollars). Back then they were successful, and to date nothing has changed. It's been a great addition to my kitchen, which I recently refurbished. Since I bought this product, it has not malfunctioned once. It has worked like a charm. The only negative aspects are the noise it makes (although quite frankly this is unavoidable) and the time it takes. I tend to make smoothies with mine, and if I use a lot of fruit, it can take a considerable amount of time to chop it all up and blend it thoroughly. Nonetheless, if one is patient and allows the wonderful machine to do its job, one is left with the perfect smoothie. Just the right amount of bits, without all the disgusting chunks of partially-merged fruit. Another great pro is the cost. It really isn't that expensive, especially considering the quality! Furthermore, despite its long-lastingness, just in case it ever malfunctions, it is guaranteed for life. A piece of advice for all you up and coming blenders: When you're blending, try to keep your blending time to a minimum. The entire process exposes the food molecules to oxygen, and therefore oxidation. This detracts from the nutritional value and benefits of the blended product. Try using different speeds, and most of all, practice. With practice comes proficiency, and with proficiency comes great taste. This blender is great for getting some of your 5-a-day into your kids' diets. It helps the entire body. It also gives you creative types the opportunity to experiment and make new super-drinks to compliment your delectable cooking. |
