Tropical Sunshine Smoothie

This is a really inexact smoothie recipe, so bear with me. This smoothie recipe is born of my urge to combine complimentary fruits. The passion fruit is my favorite fruit and combines well with the pineapple and strawberry to give a tart flavor. The frozen yogurt is optional, but gives a nice smooth creaminess to the smoothie. The splash of almond milk gives just a subtle change in flavor. (Optional if you don't have any almond milk lying around.) Hopefully it brings to mind relaxing during a balmy, exotic beach vacation.

Ingredients:
1 cup milk
splash of almond milk
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen passion fruit
1/2 cup frozen pineapple
1 banana
6 ice cubes
1 scoop frozen yogurt (optional)

To make:
1. Combine strawberries, passion fruit, pineapple and banana in blender.
2. Add milk and splash of almond milk. If you are going to add the frozen yogurt, do so now. Blend until smooth. Make sure the fruit's not lumpy.
3. Add ice slowly. Blend until you get desired consistency. Feel free to add more or less ice as needed. Enjoy!

Other variations:
If you like, adjust the proportions of the fruits to get the flavor you like. Substitute the splash of almond milk for coconut milk. Or substitute frozen yogurt for passion fruit, strawberry, pineapple or coconut ice cream.
