GoBlendit Editor's Review

sunbeam-blender

Sunbeam is a quality brand, and well known. Sunbeam and Oster blenders are actually made by the same company (Called the Sunbeam Corporation) so most of the blenders you see under the Sunbeam brand are actually Oster blenders and vice versa. That said there are a lot of blenders out there that carry the Sunbeam name.

Sunbeam puts out a lot of different blender models every couple of years, each with a different model number, so it's tough to keep track of all of these. It's also hard to find reviews and information on the most recent different models. As you can see below, we could only find less than 10 consumer reviews for all of the most recent models over numerous sites searched.

Check For the Best Deals

As a result, it's hard to give the Sunbeam blender a full endorsement, mainly because we know the track record for blenders priced under $50. It's not good. But we don't see many horrible reports of the most recent Sunbeam models breaking down. However, looking at some older models that are still on the market, we do see these types of reports, and some really low rankings. Also, the 4182 10 speed model gets some really low rankings and most all reviewers say that it's a cheap, disposable blender that's lucky to last a year.

So until more information comes out on the recent Sunbeam blender models, including the Die Cast model 6094, the subject of this review, we're going to give Sunbeam 3.0 stars.

The Good

  • Inexpensive - You can pick up a Sunbeam for under $30
  • Strong motor - 500 watts is strong for a blender in this price range.

The Bad

  • Not enough information - there are not a lot of consumer reviews about this blender
  • Too many models - Sunbeam puts a lot of models out there with many different numbers and features. It's hard to make good comparisons to decide which is the best model.
