Strawberry Smoothie

by Tim S.

I love this strawberry smoothie recipe at all times of the year, summer and winter, and throughout the day, whether for breakfast or an after dinner snack. It’s filling, nutritious, and tastes great. Your whole family will love it, I know mine does. The kids especially will be asking for more.

Ingredients:

8 (frozen) strawberries
2 tsp honey
5 skimmed (frozen) milk cubes
3/4 cups live yogurt
3/4 cups of evaporated milk

Put honey, evaporated milk, yogurt, and 4 strawberries into a blender for 15 seconds.

Stir. Add rest of strawberries. Blend for 15 seconds.

Add milk cubes, blending until they're mixed in and the mixture is smooth.

Put in glasses and enjoy!

This is my favorite Smoothie recipe because the honey is a good source of natural sugar, which is good for you. Strawberries also are an excellent source of natural sugar (and they provide potassium and vitamin C too).

When the kids were younger I would put this smoothie into ice cube trays and freeze it with toothpicks inserted for a nice summer treat. Just don't tell the kids that it's good for them!
