I am thoroughly disgusted with Cuisinart, which I originally believed was a good brand. I paid around $65.00 for this model at Macy's when an old plastic, cheap model that I had been using for years cracked. I wanted a stainless steel, dependable one, which is why I went with the Cuisinart. After about 2 months of use, the motor refused to turn the blade in the mini chopper. Since this was during Christmas baking, I was very frustrated. I called the company, and after much discussion had to pay shipping costs to mail it back to get "fixed". After I received it back, two weeks later not only would the motor not turn the blade in the mini chopper, it would not turn the blade in the immersion chopper, so I could not puree anything. My old, cheap plastic model out performed cuisinart in every aspect except being made of plastic instead of metal. The cuisinart smart stick is a total waste of money, and I will never recommend it to anyone.
