A Personal Blender Offers A Single Serving
For Those On The Go

A personal blender, or single serving blender, has many advantages over standard jar blenders, such as a smaller size, lower cost, and easier clean-up.

Single-serving or personal blenders have become very popular over the last few years, as technology for blending has shrunk and as more and more people need quick and easy meals that are healthy for an on-the-go lifestyle. The concept behind this type of blender is that you can blend what you want in a small jar that also serves as your cup. When you are done blending, just take the cup off the blender base and carry it with you to drink out of. Many of these cups also fit conveniently in cup holders of most cars, and they come with a travel mug top to cut down on spills.

There are numerous advantages to these types of blenders. Clean up is relatively easy; you just have to wash the small cup/jar after you are done drinking your smoothie, just as you would any other cup that you use. Many of these cups are also dishwasher safe too. You also don't have to worry about storing what you blended because at most you'll get just one or two servings from these blenders. With most standard blenders you get 4 or 5 cups and you'll need store that in the fridge if you don't have a large family or group of friends over that will drink it all up right away.

In addition, many of these single serve blenders come with multiple cups so that if you want to immediately blend another smoothie with other ingredients for another person, you can do so right after you blend yours. There's no jar clean up like with a regular blender, you just use a new jar/cup. Everyone can have their own personal smoothie this way.

The only real negative to these types of blenders is that they sometimes lack engine power. They are designed to be small and compact so they can have a hard time with larger, tougher blending jobs. If you have a large family and will be blending things like dough or hard nuts, then you may want to look at a standard jar kitchen blender. But if you like the idea of a personalized, single serve blender for your smoothies served in a cup that you can take with you right away, then a personal blender is the way to go.

There are currently several manufacturers producing single serve blenders. You may have heard about many of these from infomercials on TV. They are all very popular.
