Oster Blender 6895-33

by Julien Migneault
(Montréal, Québec, Canada)

I have owned the Oster blender since this Christmas, my mother gave it to me because she say's that I eat too much at restaurants. Well guess what, now I just can't spend a day without using it. I have recently returned to the gym and this time I have decided to focus on the nutritional part of training. Everyday after the gym, I use the blender to make myself a protein shake in which I add fruits like banana, oranges, strawberries, and even watermelon. I used to dislike the taste of protein shakes but now, I do enjoy them a lot.

I was afraid of using a device to prepare my drinks because of the cleaning that it implies but, with the Oster blender 6895-33, there is no problem in this area. You simply have to put it in the dishwasher et voila! There will be no leaks so you won't have to clean the base, which could be tedious.

I would say that I am pretty happy with this blender, I used to use my mother's blender as a kid and it did not have as many features like ice crushing and speed selection. I haven't been able to compare it with more recent blenders since it is my first one but I don't feel the need to, it does all I want a blender to do. I could even say that I don't even need all those functions and speeds because I am a pretty basic user.

I would change the name of the blender, 6895-33 is not a very clever name, it does not tell much about the product but, that is a personal opinion and it does affect the quality of the product.

It is a sturdy blender, it is a good looking blender, it accomplishes the tasks I need it to. Good quality, easy to clean, it even looks great on my counter!
