Oster 6642 Cube 12-Speed Blender

I purchased the Oster 6642 Cube 12-speed blender around Christmas time. I’m so happy with my decision. I used it almost constantly during the holidays. I used it to chop nuts for cookies, to make vegetable dips, chip dips, and salsa. I also used it to crush the ice for my cocktails and punch. It saved me so much time in the kitchen.

This model has a 450-watt motor. The carafe has the capacity to hold 40 ounces, so it’s large enough for almost any task. The carafe is also made of scratch resistant glass. Which is much better than some of the cheaper plastic carafes. It has 12 speeds including “grate” which can also be used to clean the blender. After use, add a little soapy water, put the lid on, and hit the grate button for a few seconds and rinse. Voila, your blender is clean.

I use my Oster blender almost on a daily basis for smoothies and it does a superior job, my smoothies never have lumps. I also use it several times a week to puree vegetables for soups and sauces for dinner. I make a lot more homemade meals since I purchased my Oster blender. The brochure that came with the blender states that it can also be used to grate cheese, shred coconut, cream butter, and grind coffee beans among many other uses.

The Oster 6642 Cube 12-speed blender is priced anywhere from under $30 to just under $50 depending on where you shop. I bought mine for around $40. So it’s very reasonably priced. Actually for the price I’d say it’s one of the better blenders you’ll find. It’s powerful, dependable, and performs well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good blender but doesn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars.
