Oster 10-Speed Core Blender-Model 6832
by Misti Ewing
After buying the Oster 10-speed Core blender, I noticed a significant improvement over the old one I used to use to do my blending. The blades are thicker and stronger than what I was used to. Therefore, I can do more with it besides just mix smoothies or some other simple drink. The blender is excellent for busting up large ice cubes to make the perfectly blended margarita. I was also able to successfully mash bananas with it to make smoothies. In comparison to my old blender, this was a drastic improvement, because before I always ended up with still large chunks of bananas in my drink. This blender has a lot of different speeds...10 to be exact, so I can always find the perfect speed to blend the things I need to blend. However, keep in mind that this is a blender and not a juicer. For example, you can not turn carrots into juice with it. I know from experience. Just about every fruit that is not hard like a carrot, however, can be blended using this model. As for the construction and durability of the blender, I have been very pleased. I like the way that the jar is made of thick glass instead of thin plastic. There's probably a lot less of a chance that it will get broken this way, as the glass is very thick compared to others I have seen. Having a glass jar instead of a plastic one also makes my drinks taste better because I cannot taste any plastic this way. The base is also very durable and there is really no danger of the blender falling over or rocking when it is in motion. For about forty dollars this blender is a good buy. Of course, one could always go pick up a cheap twenty dollar blender, but that was what I did when I bought my first one and it did not last. Not to mention, it also did not look as classy as the Oster 10-Speed Core Blender, nor did it blend as well. I would definitely recommend this product. |
