Everything sounds and looks good on the L'Equip blender. The L'Equip is very powerful, 900 watts, and comes with a very cool variable rpm speed dial. You can adjust the setting from 500 to 20,000 rpm's. We also like the smoothie stick that comes with this blender to help push down ingredients. Aside from the array of great features, the L'Equip company sounds like it has great customer service. Of the few problems reported, response from L'Equip was prompt and efficient. And the good thing is most of the negative reviews concerning the blade assembly chipping over time have been corrected with a newer updated stainless steel blade assembly. Reviews since that time have been nothing but stellar. We highly recommend this blender. The Good

You can easily turn the blender on and off with a toggle switch and it has a cool RPM tachometer on the front of the base that shows the speed of the spinning stainless steel blender blades. You can adjust the knob from 500 to 20,000 rpm's by turning it. The motor is very powerful at 900 watts and commercial quality. The pitcher is made of strong, durable polycarbonate and has a 7 cup capacity and measuring marks on the side. It comes with a smoothie stick to help press down ingredients and ensure smooth blending. The L'Equip blender has a fantastic 6 year warranty. The L'Equip was voted the favorite blender by Men's Journal Magazine. And Chef Alton Brown uses the L'Equip on his "Good Eats" TV show. Features Table

One had to get a replacement part and had a very pleasant experience with customer service at Kitchen Resource, which handles the L'Equip brand in the US. Summary of the most helpful negative reviews: Several reviews noted that the blade assembly starts to chip over time and metal flakes end up in what you are blending. L'Equip has since replaced these blade assemblies, in 2009, with stainless steel models, so you shouldn't have to worry about this in the future.
