Even the best of blenders wear down over time, and that's true of KitchenAid blenders as well. KitchenAid manufacturers many top quality models including the KitchenAid 5 speed blender, which comes in at number three on our list of the best blenders. However, if you are using it every day for a long period of time, you may find some problems can pop up. Rather than just throw the KitchenAid blender away, and have it end up in a landfill for eternity, why not try to repair it yourself?
There are a couple of common problems that can happen with your KitchenAid blender. Leaking from the base is one that we see a lot. Usually, this is caused by a damaged o-ring or gasket. The o-ring is a rubber circle that fits between the container jar and the blade assembly. Over time this part can wear down and warp. You can replace it and stop the leaking by picking one up in our store here. They are only a couple of dollars.
You may also have cracked your blender container jar and it may be leaking because of that. It's easy to knock the container of the shelf or drop it as you are moving around your kitchen cooking. If that's the case, just pick one up here. You can find these KitchenAid Blender parts for $15-20.
Another common problem area is with the blade assembly. Even stainless steel cutting blades can chip or wear down over time, especially if you are blending lots of icy smoothies and big tough ingredients. These KitchenAid blender parts are surprisingly inexpensive, coming in around $10 or so.
Caps and lids can also be lost or damaged. These are less likely to get worn down, but they can become warped. But don't worry we have those here as well. They generally cost about $10-15.
We also have repair kits here that come with multiple parts. Often it's a good idea to replace several parts at once to save yourself the hassle later. Like with anything electronic or mechanical, if one part breaks another part is soon to follow.
