dualit-immersion-blender

The Dualit immersion blender offers good power (320 watts in the US and 500 watts elsewhere) and very flexible variable speed options. It also has a pulse function. We recommend adding on the accessories kit as well for about $50. You get a couple of beaters, beakers, and a whisk with this package. All of the items attach easily to the base.

We don't see a lot of breakdown reports with this hand blender, so the quality and durability with Dualit seems to be good. Overall the Duality hand blender looks like a good quality immersion blender with a lot of power, a great variable speed function, and multiple attachments that make it ideal for many kitchen uses. We recommend it.

Dualit currently has only 1 model of hand blender, the Dualit 88860 500 watt immersion hand blender. The base model runs about $79.99 on Amazon.com, and you can pick up an accessories kit for $49.99, which we highly recommend. The accessories kit includes a balloon whisk, stainless steel blending beaker, a pair of chrome plated beaters, and a 500 ml container with a chopping blade. All of the accessories connect easily to the base model using bayonet connectors. The attachments allow you to beat, whisk, chop and puree a variety of ingredients.

GoBlendIt Consumer Reviews Summary

Summary of the most helpful positive reviews:

Owners feel that the Dualit immersion blender has very good power and easily takes care of fruit smoothies and thick soups with no overheating or stalling. Several mention that they like the variable speed options.

Summary of the most helpful negative reviews:

There were just a couple of reports of the unit burning out after a few months. There was also a mention of the buttons being hard to press and hold. Most of the negative reviews talk about the Dualit not being 500 watts. If you purchase this for use in the US, it is only 320 watts, which can be confusing in the literature. Just be aware of this when you buy. FYI - 320 watts is still a very powerful hand blender and comparable to many standard countertop kitchen blenders.
