Cuisinart Smart Power Blender Review

The Cuisinart Smart Power blender has some nice features on paper; however breakage reports and drive unit shearing reports from consumers are a bad sign.

GoBlendit Editor's Review

We like the features of the Cuisinart Smart Power blender such as the 600 watt motor, and the large 50 ounce jar. However there are a lot of reports in the consumer reviews of this blender breaking and the plastic drive unit shearing off. About a third of the reviews are 1 star. This raises red flags in our eyes and makes us question the quality of the Smart Power blender.

With so many negative reports, we have to say buyer beware on this and give it 2 stars. It's probably best to move on to another of the quality blenders we've reviewed on this site.

The Good

  • Stable - the Smart Power has a strong sturdy base.
  • Good power - 600 watts is adequate for most blending jobs
  • Controls - the pulse function, ice crushing button, and digital display settings are all nice

The Bad

  • Poor quality - there are a lot of reports of the Cuisinart Smart Power breaking down after just a short time.
