Bosch is famous for its hand tools, but it has made a pretty good handheld blender as well. The cordless Bosch blender Mixxo model offers all of the features you need in an immersion blender and is very easy to move around; you can even use it outside. Just don't expect to use it for difficult to blend ingredients, it just doesn't have the power. That's not a knock on Bosch; it's just hard in general for a battery operated model to compete with an electric powered model.

However, having a cordless hand blender is a huge convenience and the lithium ion battery that the Bosch hand blender uses is state-of-the-art. It can last 20 minutes running constantly and does not lose its charge over time, even if you don't use it very often. Just being able to run a cordless hand blender for that long and running around all over the kitchen, and even taking it outside if you are entertaining and having a cookout, is a real treat.

Also, we don't see many breakage reports, which generally means that Bosch is a high quality blender. As a result, we recommend the Bosch blender for its convenience and mobility, and for lighter blending tasks.

The Bosch blender Mixxo is the first cordless immersion blender on the market that utilizes lithium ion technology. Lithium ion batteries are smaller and lighter than other battery types. With this type of battery, the Bosch will not lose its charge even if it's not used for a long time. It can run for about 20 minutes constantly before needing to be recharged. It has an LED light that shows the remaining charge left in the battery. The Bosch's charging station can be mounted on the wall or put on your kitchen countertop.

The Bosch blender can be cleaned easily in the dishwasher; its stainless steel blade just pops off. It comes with a 24 ounce transparent mixing/measuring beaker with an easy seal lid for storage, a stainless steel mixing wand, and a universal mini chopper or shredder with removable stainless steel blades and a lid. The base of the chopper has suction cups on the bottom to hold it in place.

The soft touch handle of the Bosch Mixxo is also ergonomically designed and very light weight so that you can move it all around the kitchen. It has a 2 button safety switch, where you have to press 2 buttons and release one to get the blender started. It also has an anti-splash cover for the bottom where the blades are. Its motor cranks out 10,500 rpm.

Features

The Sunbeam blender Die Cast model 6094 features 500 watts of power plus 5 speeds and a pulse function. You can easily control speeds using the rotary dial on the front of the machine. The blades are stainless steel and the 40 ounce glass jar is dishwasher safe.
