For the price, the Black and Decker Crush Master blender is a fantastic buy. We don't see owner reviews of engine failures and leaking that we typically see from other blenders in this price range. Although we would like to see more reviews, especially from owners who've had this product for over a year, our initial research shows good quality at a very affordable price. Typically most blender problems start about a year out. If after a year or so, this blender is still going strong, then we'll certainly bump it up from 4.0 stars to 4.5.

Rarely as well do you see a $30.00 (USD) blender with 10 speeds and an ice crush button. And at 450 watts, it gets the job done and actually crushes ice pretty good.

Black and Decker as a company has a great reputation with power tools and hand tools and that knowledge and quality seems to have translated well into home appliances like blenders.

Overall, we consider the Crush Master a good buy, and highly recommend it.

The Good

• Easy to clean - the design of the blender makes it easy to clean and food is less likely to get trapped in crevices, as you may find in other blenders.
• Good power output - this 450 watt blender is not the strongest, but is sufficient to crush ice
• Stable - the base has rubber feet that help to keep the blender from skipping around the countertop.

The Bad

• Tight lid - the top lid seals tightly and may be difficult to remove. It won't leak though, which is a benefit.
