The Bella Cucina Rocket blender is pretty solid for a small personal blender. If you use at as prescribed, not running it too long at once, and not loading it up with difficult to blend ingredients and big ice chunks, then you'll probably get some longevity out of this product. We didn't see a lot of reports of breakdowns after just a couple of months, as we've seen with some other personal blenders, so the quality looks pretty good for the Bella Cucina.

The cups and lids that come with the 12 and 17 piece sets also look good and received many positive comments in the customer reviews.

The personal blender that is closest in features to the Bella Cucina is the Magic Bullet and most people compare the two. The quality seems to be a bit better with the Bella Cucina Rocket blender, although the Magic Bullet has over 625 consumer reviews, versus 150 for the Bella Cucina. Looking at the price for the 17 piece models of both blenders, the Bella Cucina is about $10 cheaper than the Magic Bullet.

So at this time we'd recommend buying the Bella Cucina, and if you are comparing this with the Magic Bullet, we'd say go with the Bella Cucina.

The engines are the same on both of these models. The only difference is in the number and type of cups you get with the blender. The 12 piece set includes 1 tall, 1 short, and 1 party blending cup (3 total), 2 lip rings, 2 resealable lids, and 2 shaker lids. With the two blades and the base this adds up to 12 pieces. The 17 piece set includes 1 tall and 1 short blending cup, 4 party cups, 4 comfort lip rings, 2 resealable lids and 2 shaker lids. So with the 17 piece set, for about $10 more over the 12 piece set, you get 3 extra party cups and 2 extra lip rings.

Features

The Bella Cucina rocket blender is made by Sensio which develops, manufactures and distributes small kitchen appliances throughout the world. They also market products from the El Paso Chile company. The Rocket Blender is a convenient high-speed blending system with a flat blade and a cross blade that can blend, whip, and chop. The flat blade is used for grinding hard foods like nuts and coffee beans, whereas the cross blade is used for chopping and grating ingredients like vegetables, cheeses and meats.

The Bella Cucina is small and compact, and takes up about as much space as a coffee mug. To work it, you simply add the ingredients to the cup, put it on the power base and push down to blend in pulse mode. For continuous blending, twist the cup, and remove your hand, or if you want more control just keep pushing down. The cups are durable and clear, so that you can see the contents as you blend and make sure that everything is blended fully. You can then take the cups with you or store them in the fridge for later.
