The SwissLine model has a slightly more powerful motor than the other models and offers a bit more speed for around $50 more. All models come standard with accessories that include a mincer, beater, whisk, processor, jug, cassette stand for storage, instructional video, and recipe book. The De Luxe also adds a dry grinder. The Gastro 200 is designed for chefs in commercial kitchens.
Many of these models are not available for sale in the United States. The Mono is one model that is and it is one of the most popular models and the subject of this review.
Features
The Bamix Mono hand blender features a sturdy engine with a long run time so that it won't overheat. The drive shaft is stainless steel and can be used in boiling water and even for blending liquid candy mixes. It has 2 speeds, 10,000 and 15,000 rpm.
The Bamix immersion blender comes with several nifty attachments. The mincer can be used for chopping frozen fruit and raw vegetables, pureeing baby food in the pan, mixing dough for cakes or bread, and crushing ice cubes. The beater can be used for whip cream, mousse, and egg whites, or anything that needs to be fluffy and light. The whisk attachment is great for stirring batters, puddings, and mashed potatoes. The Bamix Mono hand blender also comes with a nice wall-bracket mount where you can easily store it in a handy place, a 20 ounce beaker, as well as an instructional video and recipe book with over 150 recipes.
